The Economist – ‘In Yemen, death surrounds you’

The Economist, October 13, 2015

After traveling from Aden to Sanaa for more than 11 hours by road, I saw things I had never seen before. Children begging in the sweltering heat, and mothers waiting for death in the middle of the street. One told me,’Life has very little meaning if you can’t feed your children.’
